Shearing
The metal fabrication process of shearing is used to make straight-line cuts on flat metal stock easy and cost-effective.
Sawing and Shearing’s ⅜” thick x 144” Cincinnati Sheet Shear can shear material from 20 GA to .375. The 1” x 144” Cincinnati Plate Shear and 5/8” x 240” Cincinnati Plate Shear can shear material as light as 12 GA, up to 1’ thick, and as long as 20’.
Shearing Machines
Cincinnati Sheet Shear; 3/8""x 12’ capacity
- Can shear material from 20GA to .375″
- Cuts the following grades of material:
- Carbon, Hot Rolled, Floor Plate and Stainless Steel sheets and plates.
- Hold a tolerance of +/-.0312″
Cincinnati Plate Shear; 1” x 12’ capacity
- Can shear material from .125″ to 1″ THK x 12′ long
- Cuts the following grades of material:
- Mild Steel, Annealed Plate, Hot Rolled and Stainless Steel sheets and plates
- Hold a tolerance of +/-.0625″
Cincinnati Plate Shear; 3/4" X 20 ’ capacity
- Can shear material from 12GA up to .75″ THK x 240″ long
- Cuts the following grades of material:
- Mild Steel, Carbon, Hot Rolled, Annealed Plate and Stainless Steel sheets and plates
- Hold a tolerance of +/-.0625″
